A Hub of Opportunity in Nakivale

Basecamp Multipurpose Community Center was established to address the critical shortage of social, educational, and recreational infrastructure in Nakivale Refugee Settlement and its surrounding host communities. Located in the Basecamp Zone of Isingiro District, Uganda, the center serves as a vibrant, inclusive space that empowers individuals, strengthens community ties, and fosters hope. We believe that access to safe, functional, and well-equipped spaces is a foundation for rebuilding lives, nurturing talent, and fostering collaboration. As such, the center is designed to serve both refugees and Ugandan host populations — providing a shared ground for growth, learning, and engagement.
